چکیده

Abstract Background Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacter cloacae complex (CREC) is a new emerging threat to global public health. The objective of the study was investigate clinical characteristics and molecular epidemiology CREC infections in medical center northeast China. Methods Twenty-nine patients were infected/colonized with during ten-year period (2010–2019) by WHONET analysis. Antibiotic susceptibilities tested VITEK 2 micro broth dilution method (for polymyxin B tigecycline). Carbapenemase encoding genes, ?-lactamase seven housekeeping genes for MLST amplified sequenced 18 cryopreserved isolates. Maximum likelihood phylogenetic tree built concentrated sequences show relatedness between Results There rapid increase detection rate period, reaching 8.11% 2018 6.48% 2019. resistance isolates imipenem meropenem 100.0 77.8%, however, they showed high sensitivity tigecycline, amikacin. 30-day crude mortality infection 17.4%, indicating that it may be low-virulence bacterium. Furthermore, revealed ST93 predominant sequence type followed ST171 ST145, NDM-1 NDM-5 as main carbapenemase-encoding genes. Moreover, E. hormaechei subsp. steigerwaltii oharae species, which different patterns. Conclusion Rising observed tertiary hospital, heterogeneity drug patterns, types. Effective prevention control measures should taken reduce spread CREC.

Molecular Characteristics of Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacter cloacae in Ningxia Province, China

The emergence of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) has become a major public health concern worldwide and a new challenge in the treatment of infectious diseases. The molecular characteristics of Enterobacter cloacae in Ningxia China are unknown. In this study, we reported 10 carbapenem-resistant E. cloacae isolates from the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University, the larges...

NmcA Carbapenem-hydrolyzing Enzyme in Enterobacter cloacae in North America1

An imipenem-resistant Enterobacter cloacae isolate was recovered from the blood of a patient with a hematologic malignancy. Analytical isoelectric focusing, inhibitor studies, hydrolysis, induction assays, and molecular sequencing methods confirmed the presence of a NmcA carbapenem-hydrolyzing enzyme. This first report of NmcA detected in North America warrants further investigation into its di...

An outbreak of carbapenem-resistant enterobacter cloacae in pediatric intensive care unit of a Chinese teaching hospital

Objective: Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacter cloacae infections are known to be particularly prevalent in vulnerable populations, especially children. However, the phenotypic and molecular characteristics of carbapenemresistant E. cloacae infections in the pediatric wards of China have not been well described. The aim of the present study was to characterize an outbreak of carbapenem-resistant ...

Outbreak of carbapenem-resistant Providencia rettgeri in a tertiary hospital.

The emergence of resistance to multiple antimicrobial agents in pathogenic bacteria is a significant public health threat, as there are limited effective antimicrobial agents for infections caused by multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria. Several MDR bacteria are now frequently detected. Carbapenem resistance in Enterobacteriaceae is often plasmid mediated, necessitating stringent infection contro...
